Well, a (somewhat more readable) book-format print of my PhD thesis. Drawing on years of fieldwork and data from 13,000+ people, from the streets of Jerusalem and Baghdad to the Syrian battlefields, this work attempts to answer some fundamental questions about human psychology:

- Why do some protests turn violent and others don't?
- How do ordinary people come to support extreme acts of violence against civilians during war?
